Participation to the Blue Carbon Summer School 2023

We were delighted to take part in the 2023 Blue Carbon Summer University at the Wimereux marine station, as part of the partnership between Eversea and the CNRS to discuss blue carbon ecosystems. It was an extraordinary week with so many great researchers and PhD students in the field of Blue Carbon.

The seminar offered an intensive program with general lectures focusing on carbon stored in coastal and marine ecosystems (seagrass beds, mangroves and salt marshes), called Blue Carbon, but also field demonstrations and experimental demonstrations of carbon balance measurements.

Our PhD student David Broussard was able to take part in this summer school, which enabled participants to acquire sound knowledge of carbon budgets and blue carbon in coastal areas, with a view to developing a career in the blue economy and/or life sciences.

Many thanks to Lionel Denis for the perfect organization!
